Awards
The MTOA wants to acknowledge tactically minded first responders and individuals who exhibit commitment, expertise, enthusiasm, support, and/or valorous actions.
Any person can nominate an individual or group who qualifies for recognition.
An awards committee selected by the MTOA board of directors will make the final decision regarding the recipient(s) of the awards.
Life-Saving Award

The MTOA Life Saving Award is presented to the officer who has put themselves at risk of serious physical harm to save another person who is in imminent danger of death.
Individual Valor Award

This award is presented annually to individuals who have distinguished themselves through courageous actions in life-threatening situations.
Unit/Team Valor Award

This award is presented each year to a SWAT/Tactical/Patrol Unit whose members have distinguished themselves through valorous actions during a tactical operation or call for service.
