Extreme Knife & CQB Pistol Skills

8 Hours – Extreme Knife and CQB Pistol Skills – Brian HOFFNER

FBI statistics show that the majority of police shootings take place at 0-5 feet.  These shootings happen extremely fast and are extremely violent.  How an officer thinks, reacts, and performs in this very short period of extreme violence is critical to prevailing in the encounter.  There is a difference between an attack by contact weapon or an attack by firearm that may result in differing method of perceiving, choosing, and acting accordingly.   The mindset and reactive techniques presented in this class give the officer high speed, highly effective tactics that the officer can depend on to prevail in the close quarters fight for life.

This is not a course in Knife fighting… it is fighting with a knife to defend your life

If a person with a knife is attacking and you defend yourself with:

1. Empty hands-                  There is a good chance that you will be injured, maimed, or killed

2. Intermediate weapon-    There is a good chance that you will be injured, maimed, or killed

3. Your knife-                        There is a good chance that you will be injured, maimed, or killed

4. Your firearm-                    There is a good chance that the attacker will be injured, maimed, or killed

5. Track & Field-       There is a good chance that no one will be injured, maimed, or killed

"Any extreme close quarter’s battle for life is going to be violent, blood spattering, and bone crushing Painful. When you’re in it, it’s real, there is no denying it.  You have to WANT to be there, to kick ass, prevail, wipe yourself off, and go home at the end of the day"- Brian Hoffner
